Chris Barrington - Tax Partner

Chris spent 13 years with Ernst & Young before joining as a partner in the Tax practice of Jackson Stephen LLP, in July 2002. His work focuses on all aspects of tax mitigation for owner-managers and their businesses, with his particular strengths lying in corporate structuring, designing and implementing ownership structures which facilitate tax efficient extraction of profit, low tax costs upon exit and maximum flexibility for succession to family or senior management. Chris is a dedicated family man, spending a lot of his leisure time with his three young children, playing hockey for Lymm Hockey Club, battling with his garden and swimming whenever he can.

Louise Edwards - Tax Director

Louise began her tax career in the Inland Revenue before working in the OMB sector for 2 top 10 firms in Manchester for 11 years.  She joined Jackson Stephen LLP as tax director in September 2008 from a large independent practice.  Her strong background in working with family businesses means she appreciates the importance of understanding the needs of the client when suggesting relevant tax planning solutions. She also has wide experience of dealing with Inland Revenue investigations.  Louise enjoys playing and writing music, photography and visiting anywhere with high mountains and wide open spaces.
