The following scenarios help to illustrate our approach:
Case 1
A new client was under pressure from the bank which was threatening to withdraw its support since it felt the company was struggling and in danger of becoming insolvent.
Graeme Sheridan, Bolton practice partner explains: "during our review of the business and its accounts and records we discovered that the business itself was strong. However, there were no systems or controls in place and the bank simply could not rely on any information produced."
"We investigated what information the business owner and funders would require and designed and implemented a new accounting and controls system. This enabled the business owners to produce accurate and reliable information which they were able to use for their own budgets and planning. They were also able to produce the information required by the bank who by now was so confident about the underlying strength of the company, that they not only agreed to continue to support it, but also agreed to advance an additional loan to support the future plans of the business owners."
"The business is now thriving and the owners use and analyse the management information produced on a regular basis to direct the company to achieve their goals."
