Andrew Hall, Managing Director of Acorn Foundation Engineering Limited successfully acquired the Company, in a transaction advised by Jackson Stephen Chartered Accountants, with additional funding provided by Enterprise Ventures and The Royal Bank of Scotland.

The Leigh based business is a specialist contractor to the construction industry, with operations including underpinning of properties suffering from subsidence, along with new foundations for domestic and commercial properties. Customers include many of the national and regional house builders as well as smaller contractors.

A subsidiary of the family owned Acorn Building Services Limited, the business was originally set up eleven years ago by Andrew, and has since grown to a turnover of circa GBP 7m and now employs over forty people across the North of England, with a satellite office in Mirfield, West Yorkshire.

Debt funding was led by Stuart Watson, Director at RBS, Structured Debt Solutions in Manchester and included asset finance, invoice discounting and senior debt. Stuart comments "We are delighted to have provided the debt facility to support the Management Buy-Out and we wish them every success."
